HAPPY HENLEY

I don't know about you but there is something you cannot deny about a good knit.  It's an important part of any closet seeing as their functionality is incomparable.  I oftentimes wear them on their own, under cardigans or in this case a flannel as they are the perfect layering piece.  I wore this outfit over the weekend when we went to get our Christmas tree.  Side note, it was way too hot to layer, hence my flannel made it's way down around my waist.  Regardless, I'm always in the market for a good knit and I'm assuming you are too.  This Hardvaerk henley is soft, comfortable, and a great fit!  It definitely runs true to size ( I usually wear extra small, however this is a small and I think I would prefer the smaller fit).  Throughout the colder months this tee will definitely be on heavy rotation in my wardrobe and you should probably get your hands on one as well. 

BRAIDED X LEATHER

I swear, you can search high and low for something and never find what you're looking for.  However, when you finally give up on the search, there it is, right in front of you.  That's how it went down with this (faux) leather skirt.  I looked everywhere for a skirt like this and when a sequin dress finally lured me into forever 21 I found this beauty.  I thought it looked especially cool with this braided sleeved sweatshirt and the comfort level was pretty great too.  That's what I love about a sweatshirt like this, it looks more dressed up but it's still just as comfy as that one you stole from your dad.

BLACK AND BLUE

Just like everyone else I've been totally into black and white this fall.  There's a sophistication that comes with it.  Even when you're three drinks in, you've gotta find a way to keep it together.  I liked the pop of navy, if you will, it keeps the simple cardigan-jean combo of being to boring.

SACRIFICES

You know when you plan an outfit for say 72 degrees in the fall and you think "A dress and cardigan will be just perfect"?  And then 72 is really 78, but feels like 85 because you're outside in the direct sunlight for 4 hours and the "perfect" outfit turns into the worst option available?  That's kinda how this one went.  Great in theory but warm weather with a black leather cardigan just don't mix too well.  Sometimes you sacrifice what you want to wear for the weather and other times you sacrifice your comfort, but mostly you sacrifice your comfort :)

Just so you know this is the coolest cardigan I have ever owned.
