This was the perfect light and airy combo for a relaxing and warm (almost 90 degrees!) Saturday.  Neutral colors and a bold lip is my perfect combo for Spring.  I'm pretty sure I've said this before but I love the beginning of a season because all your oldies seem like newbies because they haven't been worn in so long.  Combinations you never thought of before suddenly come to life and it's all free!

I've got to say, weekends just can't be beat.  There's just something so nice about waking up and knowing that work will not be involved.  Saturday was full of relaxing and lounging around which was much needed around these parts.  However, Sunday was chalk full of things to do.  We started the morning at the flea market searching for the perfect coffee table.  We found some contenders but my heart was already set on this beauty so there were no real finds other than some pretty cool sequin tops that made their way home with me.  Since the flea market solidified the fact that the West Elm coffee table was the one we headed there to check that off the list.  We rounded the day off with drinks, dinner and a birthday celebration with some friends.  So there are no complaints over here!  

This was the perfect outfit for the flea market considering we have been having some pretty beautiful weather here.  It was comfy, cool and easy to walk in.  You may notice a little lace popping out so make sure you check back tomorrow for a fun little giveaway!  Hope your weekend was just what you needed!

TOO COOL FOR SNOW

I would love to go in depth and explain the reasoning behind this outfit and the fact that no, the beanie was not necessary on a 72 degree day, however, Revenge is on and I've got priorities.  Plus I think it the outfit is pretty self explanatory.

STRETCHY WAIST TO STUFF YOUR FACE

Thanksgiving is a time for loose tops and comfy bottoms so there was no way anyone would catch me in any sort of tight pants.  That's how I decided on this outfit.  Loose on top and flowy on bottom, perfect for going in for second (and maybe third) helpings and then topping it off with dessert.  I can't believe it's the Christmas season and the countdown has  officially begun.  Time for lots of gifting and busy weekends!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend full of eating, shopping and decorating!  I know I did!

While I was back on the East Coast it was finally necessary to layer (at least a few of the days).  Something that doesn't happen very often out here.  I love these Old Navy coated jeans because they bring a bit of edge to an otherwise cozy outfit.  Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their friends and family and ate to their hearts desire!

I swear, you can search high and low for something and never find what you're looking for.  However, when you finally give up on the search, there it is, right in front of you.  That's how it went down with this (faux) leather skirt.  I looked everywhere for a skirt like this and when a sequin dress finally lured me into forever 21 I found this beauty.  I thought it looked especially cool with this braided sleeved sweatshirt and the comfort level was pretty great too.  That's what I love about a sweatshirt like this, it looks more dressed up but it's still just as comfy as that one you stole from your dad.

A BIT OF BORING

In all honestly this is an outfit I love to wear.  Jeans, a pullover sweater and a pair of booties.  If it was acceptable to wear the same thing everyday then this would be it.  Sometimes, and usually that sometimes is in the winter I get in clothing ruts and have a real tough time getting all creative.  That's kinda what happened when we went out to dinner on Friday night, but boring outfits here and there aren't a bad thing, right?

I must admit but I'm sure you know, pants haven't been my thing lately.  They're constricting and often times itchy.  However, it's been quite cool when I have been waking up lately so unfortunately for me pants have been a must.  I found these jeans at Old Navy over the weekend and I must just say they are soft as butter.  I might be rekindling my love for pants, don't hold me to it but it may have happened.

I also bought these, they aren't as soft but they're pretty darn cool.

CHRISTMAS? NO...

Red lips, green plaid and bam it suddenly looks like Christmas up in here.  And to be honest I am completely okay with that, maybe even what I was going for?  I will tell you though, it was a terrible choice.  This day I had a terrible headache and so I thought "hey, it would be nice to feel cute today". Well cute I did not feel, my face was sweating, my back was sweating, basically everything had sweat on it.  But I suppose that's what you get when you try to channel Christmas in 90 degree weather.  Lesson learned.  I'll leave that for December from here on out.
