Since I have short legs pant lengths generally don't work on me.  Which means I either have to roll them or get them hemmed, but let's be honest I'm too lazy to get them hemmed and they never turn out right.  I've therefore resorted to just cutting them at the right length.  I got a little scissor happy with these ones and cut them too short but they'll work.  I kept this outfit simple since we were running a couple of errands.

Also, I love these shoes.  Are the gold?  Are they silver?  Doesn't matter, they work as both.

BLACK AND BLUE

Just like everyone else I've been totally into black and white this fall.  There's a sophistication that comes with it.  Even when you're three drinks in, you've gotta find a way to keep it together.  I liked the pop of navy, if you will, it keeps the simple cardigan-jean combo of being to boring.

SUPER SIMPLE

Sometimes, even despite all the cute blouses, skirts, and dresses, a pair of jeans and a tee shirt is what makes me feel the best.  It's super simple, takes little to no effort, and couldn't be more comfortable.  I always opt for a slouchy tee and a pair of skinny jeans.  I kept my accessories simple (which I don't usually do) as well with just a watch, rings and a pair of wedges.  What's your go-to "comfortable" outfit that just makes you feel you?

I don't know if it's the heat, the early drinking (it's 5 o'clock somewhere) or a simple lack of motivation but I have had a total writers block this week.  I opened and closed this post multiple times this week because I just couldn't think of anything to say that would be worthwhile (and I suppose I still haven't).  So I settled on this.  The good news (for me at least) is that once next Thursday rolls around I am headed out and onto a mini vacation.  Believe me, it couldn't come sooner!

Onto the dress... It's so light, airy and comfortable for these hot and humid days we've been experiencing.  Plus there's the cute little cutout in the back!  I added the fun shoes for a print pop but left everything else very simple.  What's your favorite way to wear an LBD?

Before there was June gloom there was sunshine, and that's when I got my very obvious sunburn.  I'll keep it as a reminder that better weather will soon come.  

I love this dress because it's not quite maxi length which I think is good for me since I'm quite short so it gives the illusion that I have much longer legs than I do.  I stalked and stalked this dress and then it went on sale (because who doesn't want to spend less on something they want?) and I maybe underestimated just how sheer it is.  Whoops!  Wanting things often times blinds me of their imperfections and makes me determined to make them work. So I stuck a slip under it but then realized in the right light you can see it, which I suppose is better than the other things you would see without it.  Anyway, lesson learned don't buy things that show the lady goods.
