TWIRLS

Asos Crop Top // Asos Midi Skirt // UO Clutch // Rakani Watch c/o (on sale!) // J.Crew Link Bracelet // Ray-Ban Sunglasses // J.Crew Heels, Similar

There's something about a black and navy combo that I really, truly love.  Call me a rebel I suppose but I also love black and brown.  I wore this outfit to a charity event for my husbands work and I loved the fact that it looked like a dress but was actually separates.  The lace back of the top is really what got me with this crop top, not to mention it's on sale!

I'm pretty sure the only reason to wear a skirt like this is so you can twirl around.  I remember doing it as a child and I have to say it was still pretty fun. Sure, I felt a tad silly as a grown woman but there's nothing wrong with that!

SUN & SUNFLOWERS

UO Top, Similar // Asos Shorts (on sale!) // J.Crew Wedges // Madewell Sunnies // Sabine Necklace via Piperlime

Months before my trip to Hawaii I found different shorts, rompers, dresses and shoes that I just had to have for vacation.  These shorts, for example, I just had to have.  It was as if I couldn't go to Hawaii without them.  The thing you realize though, once you're in Hawaii is that you spend 98% of your time in bathing suits, cover ups and comfy clothes.    So when the last night rolled around and these were still in my large pile of clothes that hadn't been worn I knew what I had to do.  I was quite overdressed for the occasion but no regrets here.

I just love the bold print paired with crisp white and tan skin.  Nothing screams summer more than bronzed legs and short shorts.

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

BOOTIES > SANDALS

Madewell Blouse // Ily Couture Cardigan // UO Jeans // Hudson Booties // J.Crew Clutch

I went through a phase a couple of summers ago where I would continuously paint my nails.  I bought all sorts of nail polish and religiously painted both my fingernails and toenails.  I don't know why I used to have so much time on my hands but nowadays it seems my toenails are usually chipped to no end. And my fingernails only ever get whatever color I've recently sampled at the store.  All of that to say I am dreading spring because of the sandals that come with it and the subsequent time I'll have to spend painting at least those ten toenails.  So for now I am more than happy about our (first) rain storm of the season and the booties I will continue to wear.

SILVER & GOLD

 J.Crew Chambray // Madewell Denim // UO Bag // J.Crew Heels // Selima Sunglasses

Since I have short legs pant lengths generally don't work on me.  Which means I either have to roll them or get them hemmed, but let's be honest I'm too lazy to get them hemmed and they never turn out right.  I've therefore resorted to just cutting them at the right length.  I got a little scissor happy with these ones and cut them too short but they'll work.  I kept this outfit simple since we were running a couple of errands.

Also, I love these shoes.  Are the gold?  Are they silver?  Doesn't matter, they work as both.

SIMPLE THINGS

J.Crew Sweater, want this one // Urban Outfitters Jeans // J.Crew Wedges // Madewell Bag, Similar // Ray-Ban Sunnies // J.Crew Link Bracelet // Target Watch

Some days just call for the simplest of combos.  Dark jeans, a chunky sweater and a pink lip did the trick in this one.  Also, I know I wear these wedges a lot but they are the most comfortable shoe.  I know they're a bit of an investment but if you are looking to do just that I would definitely recommend them.

So excited it's the weekend!  My husband and I are lucky enough to be headed on a little weekend trip where it will be nice and warm!  Perfect for relaxing.  Do you guys have anything on the agenda?
